Carlos’
brother Alberto (known as Guaco), has some kind of growth in his bowel or
colon. He has had an emergency operation and we wait to see how he is.
It was a quiet
day, we stayed in the hospital apart from a trip out to buy meat for lunch (it
was our turn).
We watched more
films tonight. I wanted to see Midsommer, a new horror film which got a
five-star review in the Guardian, but Tom accidentally downloaded Midsommar (a
Swedish ghost film). It was very good, so maybe it was a happy accident. We
also watched Sink The Bismark, a British film from 1960. I saw it at the Plaza
in Northwich with Peter Roberts when I must have been eight or nine. We both
cried when the Hood blew up.
